Vila Podvin occupies a restored manor in the fields between Radovljica and Bled, with a kitchen led by Uroš Štefelin that works from the estate garden and local suppliers and has been a consistent reference point for modern Slovenian cooking. There is a formal restaurant and a more relaxed bistro, plus cooking classes — the štruklji workshop is well known. It is the obvious answer to wanting a serious dinner near Bled without eating on the lakefront.
