street food
A counter serving one thing properly: Carniolan sausage, with mustard, horseradish and bread.
Kranjska klobasa — Carniolan sausage — has EU protected geographical indication status and strict rules about what may go into it. Klobasarna is a tiny place near the cathedral that serves it, plus rižota and žličnik, and very little else. It is standing room and a couple of stools, it costs a few euros, and it is the most efficient way to eat something genuinely Slovenian in the centre.
A very small space with almost no seating and limited room to manoeuvre.
