The rules that apply when you use LetsVisit, and what each of us is responsible for.

This document is a draft. It sets out the sections this page will contain and is not yet in force, so nothing on it binds you or us. It will be replaced with the adopted text before any booking or payment is taken through this site. Ask us anything in the meantime at info@letsvisit.si.

1.Who we are

To be written. This section must cover:

  • Registered company name, address, matična številka and VAT number
  • That LetsVisit is the trading name of that company
  • How to reach us, and in which languages we answer

2.What LetsVisit does, and what it does not

LetsVisit helps you find places in Slovenia and plan a trip around them. Where a business lists a stay, a hire or a guided activity here and you book it, the contract for that service is between you and that business. We are an intermediary: we present the offer, take the booking and pass it on.

That means the business is responsible for the service itself — whether the kayak trip runs, whether the apartment is as described, whether the guide turns up. We are responsible for the platform: that what we published matches what the business told us, that your booking reached them, and that your money went where it should.

To be written. This section must cover:

  • The exact point at which a contract is formed, and with whom
  • Which parts of a listing we check and which we pass on as the business stated them
  • What happens when a business cancels, and what we do about it

3.Your account

To be written. This section must cover:

  • Who may open one, and that it is personal to you
  • What we do if an account is used to abuse the service or to post fake reviews
  • How to close it, and what happens to your trips and your profile when you do

4.Listing a business

To be written. This section must cover:

  • That the person listing must be entitled to represent the business
  • That accommodation must hold an RNO registration and guides must hold the licence they claim
  • That the business warrants its prices, photographs and availability are its own and accurate
  • What we may do with a listing that is wrong, and when we remove one

5.Bookings and payment

To be written. This section must cover:

  • What is confirmed at the moment of booking and what is still a request
  • When money is taken, by whom, and what the price includes
  • Taxes and tourist tax, and whether they are included in the shown price
  • What happens when a payment fails or is reversed

6.Changes and cancellations

To be written. This section must cover:

  • That the cancellation policy of each listing governs that booking, and is shown before you pay
  • The minimum policy a business may set here
  • Weather cancellations for outdoor activities, which is the common case in the mountains
  • What we refund, what the business refunds, and how long each takes

7.The 14-day right of withdrawal, and why it usually does not apply

Distance contracts usually give a consumer fourteen days to withdraw. Travel is one of the exceptions: under Article 16(l) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive, accommodation, transport, vehicle hire, catering and services tied to a specific date or period are excluded. So a room booked for a particular weekend, a kayak hired for a particular morning and a guided ascent on a particular day are governed by the cancellation policy shown on the listing, not by a fourteen-day right. This is the same at every travel platform and it surprises people, which is why it has a clause of its own.

To be written. This section must cover:

  • Which of our own services, if any, are not excluded and therefore do carry the right

8.Reviews and what travellers write

To be written. This section must cover:

  • That only a traveller who has been may review, and how we establish that
  • What we remove, and that we do not remove a review for being negative
  • That a business may reply but may not edit or buy its way out of a review

9.Our liability

To be written. This section must cover:

  • What we are liable for as the platform, and the limits of it
  • That nothing excludes liability which cannot lawfully be excluded, including death or personal injury caused by negligence
  • That the opening hours, prices and conditions published by a business are that business’s statements

10.Complaints and disputes

To be written. This section must cover:

  • How to complain to us and how long we take to answer
  • The Slovenian out-of-court consumer dispute resolution body we are registered with
  • Governing law and the competent court
