The city’s main park, running from the museum quarter up onto Rožnik hill and its forest paths.

About

Tivoli begins as formal avenues behind the National Museum and becomes genuine woodland as it climbs Rožnik. Plečnik laid out the Jakopič promenade at its lower end. There are playgrounds, a large sports hall, and a network of paths to the top of Rožnik — about 25 minutes up — where there is an inn. It is the standard local answer to a free afternoon with children.

The lower avenues are flat, paved and stroller-friendly. The Rožnik paths are unpaved and climb steadily.
