viewpoint
The steep 20-minute climb above the lake’s west end that produces the classic aerial view of the island.
It is the only place you can see the whole lake, the island and the castle in one frame.
Mala Osojnica is the viewpoint behind almost every photograph of Bled taken from above. The path starts near the Velika Zaka car park and climbs about 200 m in twenty to thirty minutes, with metal steps and a steep, rooty section near the top. There is a platform at the summit and a second, lower viewpoint (Ojstrica) on a shorter branch, which is easier and nearly as good. Best in early morning light.
Very slippery in wet conditions; the upper section is steep enough that a fall would matter.
Steep forest path with metal steps and exposed roots, climbing roughly 200 m. Unsuitable for anyone with limited mobility, and hard going with small children.
