Zelenci Nature Reserve

Naravni rezervat Zelenci

Der türkisfarbene Quellteich, die Quelle der Sava Dolinka, auf einem flachen 15-minütigen Spaziergang von der Straße aus erreichbar.

Warum hin

The clearest demonstration of why Slovenian water looks the way it does — and it costs nothing.

Über

Zelenci is a shallow, intensely blue-green pool fed from below by springs, with sand cones visible where the water rises. It is the source of the Sava Dolinka and a protected wetland reserve with a boardwalk and an observation tower. The walk in from the car park is flat and takes about fifteen minutes, which makes it one of the few genuinely striking natural sites in the Alps that almost anyone can reach. Colour is strongest in bright light.

Flat gravel track and boardwalk. Likely manageable with wheels in dry conditions, but the surface is not sealed and this has not been verified.
