Everything this site stores on your device, and why each one is there.

This document is a draft. It sets out the sections this page will contain and is not yet in force, so nothing on it binds you or us. It will be replaced with the adopted text before any booking or payment is taken through this site. Ask us anything in the meantime at info@letsvisit.si.

1.There is nothing here to consent to

Slovenian law requires your permission before a site stores anything on your device that it does not strictly need. Today this site stores four things and every one of them is strictly needed: staying signed in, keeping the trip you were building, remembering the language you picked, and getting you back safely from a Google sign-in. There are no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, and no third-party trackers. So there is no consent banner, because there is nothing to ask you for.

2.What is stored

NameWhat it doesKept for
LETSVISIT_SESSIONKeeps you signed in. Server-side only, so no script on the page can read it.30 days
LETSVISIT_ANONA random token that owns the trips you build before you make an account, so they are still there when you come back. It carries no personal data and is not used to track you across sites.1 year
LETSVISIT_LOCALEThe language you chose, so the site does not revert to your browser’s default on every visit.1 year
LETSVISIT_OAUTHHolds the state for a sign-in with Google while you are away on Google’s site, and is deleted the moment you come back.Minutes

3.Things kept in the browser rather than in a cookie

The results of your last search are held in your browser’s session storage under lv:shortlist so that going into a place and pressing back does not throw away what you found. It never leaves your device, it is not a cookie, and closing the tab deletes it.

4.How to get rid of them

Clearing site data for letsvisit.si in your browser removes all of it. Signing out removes the session. Be aware that clearing the anonymous token takes any trip you built without an account with it, because that token is the only thing that knows the trip is yours.

5.When this changes

Payments and any measurement of how the site is used will both introduce cookies that are not strictly necessary. On the day either lands, this page gets the new entries and the site gets a real consent choice, which will be a genuine choice with a working refusal rather than a wall.

To be written. This section must cover:

  • The payment provider’s cookies, once a provider is chosen
  • Any analytics, its retention, and how to refuse it

Who to contact

The registered company name, address, registration number and VAT number are not published here yet. They are required on this page before the service takes payments, and they will appear here when the company behind LetsVisit is registered.
