Tivoli begins as formal avenues behind the National Museum and becomes genuine woodland as it climbs Rožnik. Plečnik laid out the Jakopič promenade at its lower end. There are playgrounds, a large sports hall, and a network of paths to the top of Rožnik — about 25 minutes up — where there is an inn. It is the standard local answer to a free afternoon with children.
